FAQ

1. Why just give this design away if we sell spin coater kits?  The biggest cost in making a "home-built" spin coater is the time involved in testing and assembling the components. That's where the unique value proposition lies and that's the value of purchasing our kits.  As such, we provide plans for anyone wanted to make their own on a tight budget.

2. Can I buy an assembled version of this kit?  No, given the cost of the components and assemble time involved, it's not cost effective for us to offer an assembled version for sale.

3. What is the maximum speed (rpms) of possible?  The maximum stable speed can be achieve is 5,000 rpms. Speeds greater than this tend to cause the stepper motor to misstep.
